As part of Afro Comic Con, Academy of Art University moderator Bobby Brill of Creative Mind, the Academy’s official podcast, invites concept artist/illustrator Jordan McCreacken-Foster to share how he designs a character from start to finish. In this workshop, Jordan demonstrates how he uses reference boards, thumbnails, color, and other storytelling techniques to spark ideas for creating a character.

AfroComicCon is a non-profit organization from Oakland Technology & Education Center. The program hosts events that promote a positive and inclusive environment and create art, media, and learning opportunities for underrepresented groups.
