HB1249, a campus carry bill that would guns onto college campuses had been sabotaged by Senator Jeremy Hutchinson advancing the agenda of Governor Asa Hutchinson. An attempt to amend HB1249 by Linda Collins Smith was voted down in the Arkansas Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Arkansas Senator Jeremy Hutchinson.
