Kansas campus permitless conceal carry ban extension motion fails

TOPEKA, KS – A move by Kansas House Democrats to bring legislation to the floor that could be used to extend a ban on permit-less conceal carry on the state’s university campuses and hospitals fails after moderate Republicans failed to join the effort.

Conservative Republicans want to leave current law in place which will allow concealed carry of firearms without a permit on campuses and in hospitals beginning July 1, 2017.
